Is it really better than the 2022 non-hybrid? Does it use a lot less petrol? The 2022 4wd is $33,000 while the 2023 4wd is $45,000, is it worth it?
Bit late to the party but I just looked into this as I had a choice between a new hybrid or a low mileage 2022 turbo. It works out to about 0.5l/100km saved if you go hybrid, give or take depending on the type of driving you do. In my case I decided to save roughly 15k NZD and get the lightly used option. I typically only drive 5-6000kms a year so it would take quite a long time before I could break even on the hybrid investment. If you do a lot of KMs per year it might be more worthwhile for you, depending on how long you intend to keep it for.

I swear by pilot sports. Had the ps3. Ps4 but the ps5 dont have kerb guard which is abit crap. Not sure why they did that.
So it breaks sooner and you'd buy new tyres if you hit a kerb. 🤣
PS4 had basically no kerb guard either. I don't know how you would curb a modern vehicle though, even my old Lexus has park assist and will alert me if I'm getting too close to the curb, automatic mirror dip when reversing and so on.
Only 18 inch and 19inch have rim protection.
Pilot Sport 5 replaces the Pilot Sport 4 Pilot Sport S5 will eventually replace the Pilot Sport 4s but currently is only available as an OE fitment.

Better at what? You are comparing a U-UHP tyre with a UHP tyre, so of course the Goodyear will have better levels of grip and feedback so better for track days - but worse for wear and NHV, so everyday driving - they are in different categories.

It’s a replacement for the 4 not the 4s. The new one is called pss5 that releases in a week or 2
The 4s is a ultra-ultra high performance tyre so a step above the 5 which is just a UHP - having said that, they do wear much less quickly than the 4s - either one is a big step up over the PS2 which is a old tyre now and can't compete with the newer technology - either would probably be fine on your 911. I have just replaced the 4 (not S) on my GS460 (~360bhp RWD) with 5's and so far I'm very happy with them, and look forward to them lasting longer than the 4 did. I guess if your 911 is big power, and you take it to the track on occasion, the 4S would still be a better choice. Edit - I've now had a chance to drive the new tyres on some challenging Waikato country roads after bedding them in, and they are noticeably better than the PS4. Better turn in, more confidence and feedback. It'll be interesting to see what they are like in the wet, but we've finally got a spell of decent weather!

What's the noise level like for the PS5? Are they significantly louder than the Primacy 4?
Noise levels are very good for a UHP tyre, but aren't going to compare to a high end touring tyre like the Primacy 4. As per the review here, the PS5 excels at handling, wet and dry - whereas a touring tyre is for comfort and longevity and the cost of outright grip. Personally I moved from touring tyres to UHP's many years ago after experiencing how insanely better they are in wet conditions - specifically wet braking distance - both the PS4 and the PS5 have spooky levels of grip in wet braking.
I guess it's possible to love something that is Ugly.
